I used stovetop potpourri, it is a fantastic way to freshen up

your home with delightful scents,  using ingredients you likely

 already in your kitchen. 

 

Ingredients

Base Ingredients:

1-2 cups of water

Scent Ingredients:

1-2 citrus fruits (examples., oranges, lemons) – sliced

1-2 apples – sliced (optional)

Fresh herbs (examples., rosemary, thyme, mint)

Spices (examples, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise)

Vanilla extract (optional, for added warmth)

Equipment

A small pot or saucepan

A stovetop burner

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

Citrus Fruits: Slice your chosen citrus fruits into thin rounds or wedges.

Apples (optional): Slice them similarly to the citrus.

Herbs: Wash and lightly bruise fresh herbs to release their essential oils.

Spices: Gather your whole spices like cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.

  1. Combine Ingredients in a Pot
